Last updated: 25 October 2026
Welcome to Everything Tallow.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Everything Tallow website and online store and to purchases made through our website.
Everything Tallow is a New Zealand-based online business operating in trade and selling cosmetic and personal-care products to customers in New Zealand.
By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
Everything Tallow is the brand used for this online store and the products offered through it.
These Terms are intended to be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.
1. Using Our Website
You agree to use our website lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the operation, security or availability of the website.
You must not:
- Use the website for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, systems or accounts.
- Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the website.
- Use automated systems to access or collect information from the website without our permission.
- Use our website or content in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of others.
We may suspend or restrict access to our website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or technical reasons.
2. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, prices and other information on our website are accurate and up to date.
However, colours and appearance may vary slightly between photographs and the actual product due to lighting, photography, screen settings and natural variations in ingredients.
Our products are handmade or produced in small batches, where applicable, and ingredients may result in variations in colour, texture, scent or appearance between batches.
Such variations do not necessarily indicate that a product is defective.
We will not intentionally provide misleading or deceptive information about our products.
3. Cosmetic Products and Personal Use
Our products are intended for their described cosmetic or personal-care purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, medical condition or illness.
Product information provided on our website is general information and is not medical advice.
If you have a known allergy, skin condition, sensitivity or other concern about using a product, you should check the ingredients carefully and seek appropriate professional advice before use.
We recommend performing a patch test before using a new cosmetic product, particularly if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions to cosmetic ingredients.
Stop using a product if irritation or an adverse reaction occurs.
If you experience a serious or persistent reaction, seek appropriate medical attention.
4. Ingredients
We make reasonable efforts to accurately list the ingredients used in our products.
Ingredients may change from time to time. Customers should always refer to the ingredient information displayed with the relevant product at the time of purchase.
If you have an allergy or sensitivity, please contact us before purchasing if you require clarification about the ingredients in a particular product.
We cannot guarantee that a product will be suitable for every individual.
5. Product Claims
We aim to ensure that product descriptions, advertising and other representations about our products are accurate and supported by a reasonable basis.
Individual results from cosmetic products may vary.
Customer experiences, reviews and testimonials represent the experiences or opinions of the individual customer and should not be understood as a guarantee that another customer will experience the same result.
Nothing on our website is intended to mislead you about your legal rights or the nature, quality or characteristics of our products.
6. Prices
All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD), unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change prices, products and promotions at any time.
A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted, except where required by law or where an obvious pricing error has occurred.
Where GST is applicable, pricing will be handled in accordance with New Zealand tax requirements.
7. Pricing Errors
We take reasonable care when displaying prices and product information.
If an obvious pricing or product information error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the affected order.
If we are unable to fulfil an order because of an obvious error, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment received for that order.
This does not affect your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
8. Orders
When you place an order through our website, you are requesting to purchase the products selected by you.
Orders are subject to product availability and payment being successfully processed.
An order confirmation email confirms that we have received your order. Where appropriate, we may contact you if there is an issue with availability, pricing, payment, delivery information or another legitimate reason affecting the order.
If we are unable to fulfil an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate refund or other remedy where required by law.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving suspected fraud, abuse, unauthorised transactions or significant pricing errors.
9. Product Availability
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that products offered for sale are available and that we can supply orders on the terms advertised.
However, stock may become unavailable unexpectedly.
If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.
We will not knowingly advertise products as available where we do not have a reasonable basis to believe that we can supply them on the advertised terms.
10. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available through our website.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
We do not normally receive or store your complete payment card details.
You must provide accurate payment and billing information and must only use a payment method that you are authorised to use.
11. Delivery
We will arrange delivery to the address provided when you place your order.
You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery information is accurate and complete.
Delivery timeframes displayed on our website are estimates. Where no specific delivery date has been agreed, orders will be delivered within a reasonable time as required by applicable New Zealand law.
Delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, weather, natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions or other unforeseen events.
We remain responsible for meeting our obligations under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
For more information about delivery, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
12. Damaged, Incorrect or Faulty Products
We take reasonable care to ensure products are appropriately packaged for delivery.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not meet the guarantees required by law, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with details of the issue.
We may request photographs or other information to help us assess the issue.
We will investigate the issue and provide the remedy required under applicable law.
13. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains our approach to cancellations, returns, refunds and faulty or damaged products.
Nothing in our Returns & Refunds Policy or these Terms is intended to remove or limit rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable consumer law.
Change-of-mind returns are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy and any applicable legal rights.
Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet the guarantees required by law, we will provide the remedy required by law.
14. Consumer Guarantees Act
If you are purchasing as a consumer, your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply.
Among other things, the Act provides guarantees that products supplied by businesses must meet certain standards relating to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, description and safety.
Where those guarantees are not met, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
15. Fair Trading Act
We will comply with applicable New Zealand consumer protection laws, including the Fair Trading Act 1986.
We will not knowingly make misleading or deceptive representations about our products, prices, promotions, ingredients or services.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Fair Trading Act or any other applicable law.
16. Promotions and Discount Codes
From time to time, we may offer promotional discounts, sales or discount codes.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotional offers may have specific conditions.
- Discount codes may have expiry dates.
- Some products may be excluded from promotions.
- Only one discount code may be used per order.
- Discount codes cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
- We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a promotion where permitted by law.
Any specific terms displayed with a promotion will apply to that promotion.
We will not use promotional terms that are misleading or deceptive.
17. Gift Cards
We do not currently offer gift cards through the Everything Tallow online store.
If gift cards become available in the future, separate terms applying to gift cards will be provided at the time of purchase and will comply with applicable New Zealand law.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish or commercially exploit our content without our written permission, except where permitted by law.
19. Customer Reviews and User Content
If you submit a review, photograph, testimonial, comment or other content to us, you confirm that:
- The content is your own or you have permission to provide it.
- It does not infringe another person's rights.
- It is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, abusive or misleading.
- You have not submitted it in exchange for a requirement that it be positive or otherwise manipulated.
By submitting content to us for publication, you give us permission to use, reproduce and display that content for purposes connected with our business, including displaying it on our website and marketing channels, subject to applicable law and any permissions required.
We may remove or decline to publish content that we reasonably consider inappropriate, unlawful, misleading or inconsistent with these Terms.
We will not knowingly present a fabricated review as genuine.
20. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
These websites are operated by third parties and are not controlled by us.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.
Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.
21. Third-Party Services
Our website may use third-party services, including payment providers, Shopify, delivery providers, analytics providers, advertising platforms, email and SMS services and review providers.
Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.
We may temporarily suspend or modify the website for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons or other operational requirements.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act or any other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
24. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform an obligation where the delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include:

- Internet or telecommunications failures.
- Courier or transport disruptions.
- Strikes or industrial disputes.
- Government restrictions.
- Acts of war or terrorism.
- Other events that could not reasonably have been prevented or anticipated.
Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to communicate with you and minimise the impact.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies you have under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
25. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the circumstances in which it may be shared.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products, website, services or legal requirements.
The latest version will be posted on our website with the updated date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you have under applicable law.
27. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or your purchase from us will be subject to the applicable laws and courts of New Zealand, subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available to you under New Zealand law.
28. If Part of These Terms Is Invalid
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it lawful where possible.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
29. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
